    Tarjei Boe (NOR) after thurstday's gold medal in the sprint won silver medal in the  Men 15 km pursuit race.

    On Sunday's race Ondrej Moravec (CZE) celebrating his first victory in the 15 km mass start.

    Teja Gregorin (SLO) finished both races, Women mass start 12,5 km and Women pursuit 10 km,  on the excellent 7th place.

    The race 15 km in free technique individual is the only one of the "traditional" race at this World Championships. And in this discipline Petter Northug and Johan Olsson won a double victory in the latest Alpina ESK PRO boots.

    Petter Northug really wanted this gold, he worked for it and finally he took it!

    Northug opened  race in the fastest possible way and  catching up  athletes already after the first lap.  After the first 5 km, Northug was already in the lead, 17 seconds ahead of Dario Cologna (SUI).

    Johan Olsson started with a slower pace. During the second lap, Northug, Olsson and Gjerdalen kept the same pace and it looked like they were getting away from the others.

    The final lap confirmed the same trends and Northug began to give time back. Nevertheless, the Norwegian was able to find somewhere the energy to keep his first position and, in the end, he defended his leadership from  the attack of Gjerdalen and Olsson.

    The top of the World Championship women races  are shaped  of the norwegian athletes. But in 10 km individual free technique race Russian Yulia Tchekaleva took 3rd place, which is the very first medal for russian female athletes. Yulia Tchekaleva of Russia, bumped of the podium the biathlete Mirium Goessner of Germany.

    Therese Johaug (NOR) is the new World Champion on the 10 km FT individual.  Marit Bjoergen (NOR) had to settle for silver for the first time in these World Championships.
